The University of North Dakota men's track and field team saw several athletes run for new personal and season bests on Saturday on the second day of competition at the SDSU Indoor Classic.

Day one of the South Dakota State University Indoor Classic saw senior thrower Jakob Bissell etch his name into the University of North Dakota men's track and field team record books once again.

The past month has been an exciting one for the University of North Dakota track and field team's pole vaulters, featuring a trip to the National Pole Vault Summit and a spot on the cover of VAULTER Magazine.

Senior Jakob Bissell threw for a new school record in the weight throw on Friday, highlighting the University of North Dakota's men's track and field team's performance at the Thundering Herd Classic.

Some of the oldest track records still belong to Margie Hutson Evers. Now her two children are making their mark on the University of North Dakota. Emily plays for the women's basketball team, while Jimmy is a standout hurdler.

The University of North Dakota men's track and field team got a good showing out of its throwers as it competed at the Jack Johnson Invitational on Friday and Saturday, led by performances from senior Jakob Bissell and freshman Michael Quesenberry.
